Curriculum Vitae:

Applied Geneticist, Hy-Line International Dr. Settar earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ege University, Agricultura Engineering and Animal Science department Izmir, Turkey. From 1990 through 2002, she was a research assistant at Ege University. Afterwards, she was a post-doc research associate at ARO Volcani Center, Israel for one year and a post-doc research associate at Animal Breeding department, Iowa State University for two years. Her current position as Applied Geneticist at Hy-Line International R&D department started in 2002. Dr.Settar has many publications in peer review journals, symposium abstracts and one book chapter. She is an active participant and presenter in many national and international scientific meetings and industry symposiums. She has been an active member of PSA and served as a board member on the WPSA-USA branch. She is also serving several committees, reviewing manuscripts, and judging at society conferences.
